In addition to local volunteers and presenters, Second Saturday Des Moines's chapter is powered and supported by Iowa Collaborative Divorce. We are a charitable 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization and depend on grants and donations to offset our operating expenses. Under this design structure, we are able to provide low-cost workshops—including handout materials—to men and women of all incomes.
Second Saturday is here to empower people to make the most educated choices surrounding divorce, whether they are contemplating, filing, or completing the process.
We are out to create a world where families work—with or without divorce.
Second Saturday is a national organization founded in 1989 by the non-profit Women's Institute for Financial Education (WIFE.org). The organization now has locally sponsored chapters in many major US cities. Second Saturday has become a critically acclaimed divorce workshop by multiple media sources.
